We may recommend an extraction when a tooth is:
- too badly decayed or broken to be repaired
- affected by advanced gum disease and no longer stable
- an impacted or partly erupted wisdom tooth causing pain
- crowding the mouth ahead of orthodontic treatment
- infected and not suitable for root canal therapy
Wherever it is realistic to save a tooth, we will tell you and explain what that would involve. Extraction is what we suggest when keeping the tooth is no longer in your best interest.
